Alexandra at The Teddy and Alex Shelter needs help to be able to feed and keep 200 dogs and 40 cats dry, fed and warmer through the cruel Romanian Winter. Building was progressing to make warmer insulated safe spaces. but has now had to stop due to lack of funds. To keep the shelter going Alex goes without even the basic comforts, She sleeps on a small camp bed in one room with 30 elderly dogs on and around her. Everything she owns goes on the animals welfare, She doesn't own a cooker, a boiler for hot water, a washing machine or car. Resources needed to keep over 200 dogs and cats is huge, vet bills, food bills, rent, cat litter, electricity, water, vaccinations, flea treatments, cleaning products. What is the alternative for the dogs and cats, dying a slow death in freezing conditions, starving, with puppies on the streets or worst in a kill shelter.
