Story
We at Santander Kingswood are looking to raise funds for the Bristol Children's Hospital. In particular for a piece of equipment that helps babies who suffer with Digeorge syndrome. The machine helps find the babies veins so when an injection is needed they suffer less pain. Each piece of equipment costs £800 but makes a huge difference. This cause is very close to us as a branch colleague's grand daughter suffers with this syndrome.
Digeorge syndrome is a condition present from birth that can cause a range of lifelong problems, including heart defects and learning difficulties. Although there is no cure, treatment can improve symptoms and improve the child's lifestyle.
10 of us will be taking part in a military style assault course on Sunday 10th September to raise as much money as possible to go towards the cause. We will be put through a myriad of challenges through muddy waters and steep hills. We will also be holding a cake sale and a raffle in the branch to help towards the fundraising.
Please help us raise as much money as possible for this worthy cause. All donations are greatly appreciated.
