Story

Durham City Cheerleading was formed in 2014 and offers athletes (girls and boys) aged 5 and over the opportunity to join a fantastic group of like-minded individuals in developing new and existing skills, to work as a team, and to have fun in doing so. The squads are split according to age range and/or skill level and often showcase their skills at local events, and have competed in National Competitions against teams from across the UK. In doing so, they have shown they are more than up to the task and through their continued drive to excel, their aim is to take this to the next level and beyond!

As you can imagine, as well as the effort and dedication the squads and their coaches put in, there is also a financial outlay to be considered; Training facilities and equipment, competition fees, uniforms and training wear all cost money, and whilst we as parents are happy to take on this responsibility, any help offered, no matter how small is greatly appreciated.

So as part of the fundraising to help these talented girls, two of us are running the Simply Health Great North Run on Sunday 10 September. But that’s not enough…

Therefore, we’ll be running the Simply Health Great North Run dressed as Cheerleaders!

So, if you feel you can spare any amount of money, will you please sponsor us? Any donation as little as £1 will make each of our athletes smile...every little helps and we thank you all in advance for your support.
