Laura and I have set up this page in the hope of raising some funds to help Dylan and his family through this difficult time. As many of you will know Dylan was diagnosed with Cancer earlier in the year. For the past six months Dylan has had many hospital visits for chemotherapy, scans and blood tests etc.
Earlier this month Dylan had to go for a CT scan, unfortunately the results showed the Chemotherapy had stopped working and Dylan would need to start a new Chemo and have stem cell treatment. On Monday Dylan had a PET scan, the results showed that from Dylan’s PET scan in March to this present scan the cancer has got progressively worse, this is not the news the Dylan and his family wanted to hear.
Dylan’s Mum Karen has been with Dylan every step of the way through his illness and will continue to do so. Dylan has a very difficult time ahead of him. He started his new Chemo on Tuesday which will hopefully work and if it does then Dylan will be referred up to the Freemans Hospital in Newcastle for stem cell treatment.
Karen has given up work to care for Dylan but knows that financially it could be difficult for the family as they still have bills to pay. She once said to me “he is my baby; he has to come first and if I lose everything including my house, I don’t care as long Dylan is ok”.
Let’s try and ease some of the stress for Dylan and the family, during this difficult time. Even a small amount raised will help as they do not need any extra worry at the moment, they already have enough to deal with. Even if all the funding does is pay for petrol and car parking when Dylan is in hospital or helps towards a household bill, it all helps and takes some stress away from Dylan and Karen.
