Thankyou in advance for your support 🏃🏾😁
My story begins in April of this year when I began to feel tired and drained. We had been through a very tough time having lost our much loved Gran in March so I put it down to stress associated with grief and tried to push on with life and work. I've always been very energetic. I had a busy career, loved Bootcamp and was never happier than when I was on the go. Things got progressively worse from June, bringing flu like symptoms, dizziness, extreme insomnia and a terrifying bout of confusion/lack of concentration which I have come to know as brain fog. In July my body gave up on me and I have been unable to work since 11th July. Being self employed the added financial stress and guilt at leaving my colleagues to cope, did nothing to help my circumstances. When NHS eventually shrugged and said they would have to treat me for fatigue following a virus in the absence of anything else I had to do some private tests myself. Lyme disease showed up in one of these. NHS are only in anyway effective with Lyme if you are fortunately unfortunate enough to be one of a third of people who have a distinguishable rash. I wasn't. I can't be treated by NHS. I am currently having to fly to Washington for treatment conservatively estimated as starting at £15,000. Like most of us, I don't have it and being so unwell, am unable to get back to work to earn it. I am truly humbled at Eddie’s generosity in taking on his challenge to a support mine. To him and to anyone kind enough to sponsor him, you have mine and my family’s most sincere gratitude.
