Story
After a long and inspiring battle with Cancer my beautiful friend, Grainne Quinn, passed away last year. She was an extremely intelligent, funny and stubborn lady and she wanted very much to stay in her home as her illness marched on. She received her treatment at her local hospital's oncology until, Tullamore, Ireland and they were fantastic.
There are some things that are not covered by government funding but which are so very important to the quality of life of these patients.
The hospital set up a Patient Comfort Care fund to help with these things. It is a small charity which does enormous work.
In Grainnes name I would like to give back to the people who gave so much to her when she needed it.
I will be attempting to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in September of this year and trying to raise as much as possible to donate to this caring and extremely important fund.
Any and all donations will be very gratefully received, Thank you.
We have already raised £2980 of the £5000 target !!!!! Thank you so much to all who have already donated. x
