The Stoke Film Office needs your help!!
I am currently setting up a film office in the ACAVA studios at Spode Works in Stoke on Trent. Offering support, advice and hot desks to local creatives, designing community outreach projects and masters classes in the Great China Hall at SPODE.
A film community for us by us
Ash- besides being an incredibly talented director- is someone evidently passionate about the creation of support avenues and a home for the grassroots film community of Stoke. Stoke Film Office will provide a hub for talent- a safe place to build connections, trade experience and refine stories. This is a project born of heart and generosity and a will to see the talent of Stoke succeed and I wish Ash all the best with a pledge I will do what I can to support him and the organisation.

So back in 2019, I was selected for Channel 4's directing scheme 4Stories. The directing scheme focuses on finding devise and exciting new talent in the UK. I was selected to direct Adulting (Currently on All4) staring BAFTA winner Jack Rowan, BAFTA Elevate actress India Eva Rae, Michael Socha, Shobna Gulati and George Newton as part of the BAFTA nominated On the Edge.
Along with this, I am part of the BFI Network X BAFTA Crew 2019/20 and a doctorate student at The Northern Film School at Leeds Beckett. My short film Farside staring Sacha Parkinson, BAFTA Elevate actor Amir El-Masry & Shane Attwooll was official selection at Aesthetica film festival & more recently selected for the BAFTA Cymru qualifying Carmarthen Bay film festival.
I have worked with so many amazing and talented people over the years and I would be missing a trick.. If I didn't push for a film office in a city that doesn't have one!
Ash's love for the arts, his incredible talent and passion to nurture is something that needs backing and support. From experience of being under his care, he will bring an abundance of development opportunities, growth, beauty and transformation to any space. So, whats your donation being spent on?
Your donation would cover rent on studio 13 for the first few months until we are fully up and running and admin fees. Everything else will be begged, stolen and borrowed. Completely DIY and ran by volunteers!!
Everyone that donates will have their name in a Mural on the offices wall. How cools that!!

UPDATE * We reached our original goal for the rent and now its been raised to 2K.. This will able us to buy a computer for peeps to use that don't have one.
