Story

This iconic structure (known as a shed /beach hut/ chalet) has been around for many many generations and has withstood adverse weather and waves over the years.
It holds such special memories for so many local families, and holiday makers. I'm sure!
It was left to the community by a local family along with £1000 for its upkeep to ensure it could be enjoyed for many more years to come. The time has come where basic maintenance is no longer enough and before we lose our shed to the sea we need to build a replica, as close in design as possible further up the field to avoid the coastal erosion currently causing the main threat.
The Community Council has agreed to give us the £1000 that was left along with the shed but the villagers must fund the rest! And find a team of builders and labourers to build it!

The committee put together to get this project off the ground is faced with a massive job of fundraising to ensure our elderly/ young people / parents with children and young babies , coastal path walkers , dogs (with their humans) etc etc .. all have somewhere safe to rest while walking , a meeting place for friends, a place sheltered from the wind to enjoy our beautiful views along the coast. This shed means so much to our community and we need to save it!
