Dave is a senior maritime officer for HM Coastguard and during the recent storms has lost his boat, his home, his dream with all his belongings on to the sea. I don't know Dave personally, although our paths likely crossed however he once wore the same green beret as me and is part of my wider family. He is a fellow brother in arms. I have no doubt that in his years of working in the Corps and for HM Coastguard he has put others first before him and I'm sure at times risking his own life.
