I was born and grew up in Sierra Leone and though I have not lived there for the past 25 years, I will always love the country and it's people. The people of Sierra Leone are warm, kind, loving and very welcoming to strangers. Unfortunately they have experienced one disaster after another for the past 10 years yet they still smile and willing to offer strangers the clothes on their back if the opportunity arose. This flooding is yet another disaster that will set back the people of Sierra Leone for years to come. Some would have lost everyone and everything they possess and any donation to help them would be greatly appreciated. I have spoken to the British Red Cross who are currently involved in the rescue process in Sierra Leone and they have agreed to be involved and all funds raised will be paid directly to them by Justgiving.
