Story
The West Midlands Hedgehog Rescue is a hedgehog rescue and rehabilitation centre run by Joan Lockley from her home in Cheslyn Hay. Joan will never turn down a hedgehog in need and will provide around the clock care until her patients are fit enough to be returned to the wild.
Hedgehog numbers have dramatically declined in the wild so any hedgehog that can be safely released back in to the wild is hugely important with helping wild population numbers to rise.
Joan relies entirely on public donations so we are appealing for much needed funds to help Joan with the associated costs of providing this care. Donations of tinned cat food (meat based in jelly, no fish or gravy), old towels/bedding and newspapers would also be very gratefully received.
Please visit www.wmhr.org.uk for more information on the rescue centre and the vital role Joan plays in helping one of the nation's most iconic and much loved British mammal.
Thank you.
