Apart from to prove the point we can achieve this, we are using this as an opportunity to raise money for the Friends of Mettupalayam Trust (FOM)

FOM is a registered charity based in North Yorkshire which aims to provide relief to a very poor rural community in Tamil Nadu, South India with education, nutrition, disability, credit unions, health and welfare, farming and support for the elderly.

Our aim is to raise £1500 which will fund a teacher for 12 months (£80 per month) as well as pay for school dinners plus OAP meals for a year (£45 a month and just 65p per pupil per week).
