Story

On the 7th June 2017, I was commuting to work, when I had a serious Motorcycle accident. I sustained multiple injuries including, multiple vertebrae breaks, cracked pelvis, broken ribs, punctured lung, split diaphragm, compound fracture to right tibia, break on right fibula, earing loss in right ear and broken femur which severed an arterie resulting in above knee leg amputation. I was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where I was taken immediately into theatre for emergency surgery. The surgery lasted for 12hrs. I then had two more surgeries to reconstruct my right leg and amputate my left.

I was then taken to the ICU department where I would start my recovery. During my stay in ICU I developed a serious chest infection, due to the infection I had a very high temperature. The hospital can only use dyson smart fans which can only be donated, they had a shortage of fans in the department and luckily I got one to help keep me cool and recover. Therefore I would like to raise money to ensure that every bed has a fan, so everyone can get the same amazing treatment.
