Story

We are setting up this page in an attempt to raise funds for my dad, Gareth Head, who was recently diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (ALS). We are hoping to use the money raised to allow my dad to participate in a new experimental treatment which is showing promise in clinical trials. At this stage this potential treatment is giving hope to my dad and everyone close to him, which is not something usually associated with this terrible disease.

My dad has always been a healthy, active family man, and whilst this terminal disease has physically affected him, it has not dampened his spirit or positivity.

We have some great ideas and planned events that will be linked with this page, but would welcome any further ideas that may increase the fundraising potential. If the treatment is unsuitable or unavailable, then any funds raised will be donated to the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA), a charity which is very close to his heart.

Any donation will be gratefully received, no matter how small. Please follow this page to find out about the various fundraising events. You can also follow the Gobaith Facebook page to keep up to date with the progress of this charity.
