Danny, Evelyn, Shirley and I will be taking part in a 6-mile walk on Saturday 2nd September.

We are hoping to raise as much money as possible for Channel, a charity which Shirley (my aunt) volunteers at.

Channel provide support for families in crisis who have been referred by their social and family support workers.

They handout anything from baby bedding to prams and sterilisers; additionally other household items can be requested for families who have been affected by domestic violence and have moved away from the abuse.

At times, if easier, gift vouchers are purchased rather than a physical item given. All of the funds available come from limited donations throughout the year and fundraising events which generates worthwhile cash to help those in need within the community.

Channel is a small, nationally registered charity which has been active for almost 50-years , however we are specifically raising money for the branch which my aunt volunteers at.

Every pound and pence will help.
