Story

This is a page is for George Russell who, in 2009 at the tender age of 21 months old, suffered a spinal stroke in the C4/C5 region of his spinal cord. This has left him diagnosed with incomplete tetraplegia, also known as quadriplegia.

His family are hoping to raise enough money to buy George a much needed, larger wheelchair and one that will allow him to grow/develop as he reaches his teenage years.

Unfortunately the funding from the NHS is simply not enough to get anywhere near the cost of the chair and anything we can raise over and above the funding will help and take the strain off his parents.

In September 2017 - Many family and friends are doing various races to raise money for George's new wheelchair - over £5,000 needed. Hoping I can raise a large chuck towards that.

With this in mind, I have taken up a 7km Nuts Challenge Assault Course with Obstacles. Those who know me will probably be in shock and disbelief that I have decided to do this. It will be a challenge but for this good course I will succeed.

So please can I kindly ask you to swap your sympathy for me and the others running into donations and to please donate whatever you can to help reach our target and to help keep a smile on the face of a very cheeky but happy, bright, and wonderful lad.

Many thanks!
