Story
The Birmingham Children's Hospital first opened its doors in 1862; Every year on average they help 90,000 children and young people from all over the UK. They provide a high standard of care and it goes a long way. As an individual who has spent time with loved ones at the Hospital and lost a loved one at this very Hospital, I believe it is our duty to help raise money for our sick kids. The hospital has a remarkable reputation for excellence in many life-changing specialist services, including the treatment of the most complex heart conditions, chronic liver and kidney disease, cancer, epilepsy, neurology and cystic fibrosis. It’s also home to Europe’s largest single site paediatric intensive care unit, a 24-hour accident and emergency service, regional major trauma centre and the ground-breaking Forward Thinking Birmingham mental health service. Ever year Birmingham Children's Hospital holds a variety of fundraisers for members of the public to join in with or donate to, so I ask of you, donate generously.
