Story

On 13/09/17 at 18:20 in Hailsham my 86 year old nan was mugged by a man pretending to work for South East Water.

He entered her house after a convincing story about how he had to change his clothes as they were soaked through. My nan asked for his badge as he entered the door. At this point she realised something wasn't right. He proceeded to ask her to run the tap in the other room. As she did this, she walked into the kitchen to see him looking in her handbag. As she confronted him he ran for the front door, my nan tried to grab the bag, at this point she was pushed back and hit her head and has suffered bad bruising on her back and head - luckily no breaks. He ran out the door with her handbag with her pension money, keys and other personal items.

I have created this page after the compassionate messages sent to me after spreading the message on Facebook. Thank you, you wonderful people.

As a lady mentioned on Facebook this may help restore her faith in humanity after such a tragic incident.

Below are details of the man:

- Northern Accent (claimed to be from Sheffield)

- Wore a Navy Blue anorak and navy blue waistcoat and a

baseball cap

- In his Late 50's

- White, Clean Shaven, Round Face

- Around 5' 10''

- Medium weight

Its likely he's an opportunist jumping from town to town, so PLEASE spread this news wide and far.

If you hear of anything similar or encounter this man, please contact me IMMEDIATELY on here.

Thank you,

Harry
