Helen was diagnosed in April 2012 with kidney cancer, she had the tumour along with her kidney removed in May 2012 followed by a three year long Drug Trial at Velindre. Helen has just had her five year all clear. Ray was diagnosed with Leukaemia in May 2016 and was luck to receive a Bone Marrow Transplant in October 2016. He is doing very well and in remission. He is being treated at UHW Cardiff.
During September we hope to do several challenges to raise money for the above. Helen and 8 others are climbing Snowdon on 20th Sept and taking on the Velocity Zip Wire on 21st Sept. Ray if well enough and has his Doctors consent is hoping to do a Sky Dive. If Ray is unable to do the Sky Dive he's going to do a walk which he finds hard to do at the moment.
We are also holding a Charity Concert evening at Tonyrefail Workingmen's Club on Friday 6th October
