Story
Malcolm is currently being treated for burns in hospital after his boat caught fire, Warwickshire Fire and Rescue managed to put the fire out however the boat has been destroyed in the process.
Friends and boaters alike would like to help raise as much money for Malcolm to give to him when he is feeling better to put towards either a new boat or re-doing his current one.
I'm sure he will be grateful for any support, I'm trying to get as much information as possible at the moment.

Statment from Warwickshire Fire & Rescue
Crews from both Southam and Rugby were called to a boat fire on Southam Road in Stockton, just after 6am this morning.
On arrival the boat was well alight, but thankfully everyone was accounted for. Firefighters acted quickly to extinguish the fire using a, hose reel jet, covering jet, lighting, small tools and a hydrant.

5 years agoToday we have found out that Malcolm's boat has been covered so no further damage can be done by the weather, Canal & River Trust are on top of the situation and the plan is to have the boat possibly removed from the water and taken somewhere safe.
