Story

Sierra Leone is one of the poorest countries in the world and we all know that the country is just coming out of the Ebola virus epidemic which claimed the lives of 3,955 Sierra Leoneans. I was in Freetown this April and the visible effects of this deadly virus was evident. the resilient people of Sierra Leone are just getting back to normalcy and yet again, they are now faced with another ordeal, another disaster which has claimed over 400 lives.

there are no infrastructures in place to help the locals with simple basics like food, toiletries and clothing. 3000 people lost everything in the flood and the aim of this funding is to provide these 3000 people with the basics for the time being- no doubt, the effects of this disaster will take a very longtime for to recover from but we can all contribute to help meet the immediate need. The little children who are lucky to still be alive, have lost parents and loved ones- we want to be there for them right now by providing the simple basics-food,emergency clothing, medicine, blankets etc.
