Hi, my name is Candice, I’m mum to Lennie who is 17 months.

Lennie was born at 27+6, he was 2 pound 12 when he was born. Lennie was in hospital for just over 10 weeks.

At four weeks old, Lennie was diagnosed with Severe Periventricular leukomalacia (PVL) which is from lack of oxygen at birth. On 7.11.2022, Lennie was also diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, Lennie‘s left and right front part of the brain has been affected which is all movement, arms, legs, speech etc.

Lennie is not meeting a lot of his milestones and the NHS provide him with 12 weekly Physio and Hydroptherapy as and when.

I‘ve been looking for various therapy’s for Lennie to do but of course these all cost money, and alot of money.

Never in a million years did I expect to be doing this but I will do anything for my child and to give him the best life possible.

Lennie has weekly private Physio, Movement lesson and Conductive education, we are hoping with what we raise we can continue doing all the therapies we are doing and be able to continue to do it all weekly as at the moment it’s really difficult.

Just to break it down:

Lennie has weekly sessions at conductive education. (Free)

Movement lesson £50 per session, Lennie has been having 1-2 a week= £400 a month

Private physio- £79 per session= £316

Lennie gets £407 a month from DLA. It’s so unfair that we have to pay for any therapies when we are aware that he should be recieving these through the NHS.

Again we will be externally grateful for a share or anything!

It will also mean that we can book some intensive therapies for Lennie which will be amazing!!
