Story
At Hoovering Flour we believe that theatre is becoming less and less accessible to the working class. We believe it is important that everyone has the opportunity to experience well-written, entertaining, thought-provoking theatre both in its traditional sense and its non-traditional sense. We aim to create free/pay what you can theatre, in pubs, community centres and familiar spaces within communities. Currently we are working on a voluntary basis, our productions are low-cost and we source everything ourselves as cheaply as possible.
However, we care deeply that we are able to cover the expenses, e.g travel, of our actors, and this is what this money will help us to do. There are also a few props we cannot source for free, which this money will also go towards. We have two upcoming productions of our one-act, dark comedy centered around a dysfunctional relationship; A Single Tree, one at Swansea and one in Cardiff.
