Story
Hope Methodist Church has always sought to reach beyond its walls and serve its local community, particularly the needy and the vulnerable. We’ve already done what we can, creating support groups for those with dementia, supporting local food banks, working closely with our Scouting and Guiding groups, and creating safe spaces for carers with young children.
Now, our building is limiting us. It’s simply not providing the space that we need to continue this work. We are already well on the way to funding a major renovation that will double the spaces that we can use to support local people, vulnerable and otherwise. We want to create a safe space where all are welcome, and where no-one need feel alone.
However, the costs are significant. This appeal is to help us raise the funds we need for interiors and equipment that ensure we are accessible for all, dementia friendly, and child safe. It is also to help us pay for the dividing screen that will help us to create another usable space within the church itself, while keeping an area peaceful for prayer and contemplation.
