Story

As a Community Amateur Sports Club, Harlow Rugby Union Football Club (HRUFC) is an active member of our community, not only promoting the development of the game we love, but also by supporting other local worthy causes.

Before our First XV home game on October 30th, 2021 we will be hosting a lunch for past and serving members of the military along with club members and their guests. As well as allowing all in attendance to give thanks to those that have, and continue to serve, in the armed forces, this lunch will help the Harlow branch of the Royal British Legion (RBL) raise monies for the annual Poppy Appeal.

This is a cause that is close to my heart, my father served in the 7RHA, the image above is his jump book from MANY years ago. My brother also committed to a life in the military, a training accident left him an amputee but has not stopped him from living a full life.

Your donations here, no matter how large or small, will assist in paying for lunches for current or former members of the armed forces (and/or their family), transportation to the event for those that need it and contribute directly to the Poppy Appeal.
