Our father was more than just a man — he was a mentor, a motivator, a father figure, a friend, an outstanding coach and the beating heart behind Cwmavon Hornets Amateur Boxing Club.

Since founding the club 31 years ago, he poured every ounce of his passion, energy, and love into building a space where young people could find discipline, confidence, and community through boxing. Creating lifetime friendships and an extended boxing family.

He believed in second chances, in hard work, and in the power of sport to transform lives. For decades, he coached not just technique, but character — shaping generations of boxers and leaving a legacy that stretches far beyond the ring.

As we come to terms with his passing, we know many will want to show their gratitude and offer condolences. While flowers are always appreciated, we feel the most meaningful tribute would be to continue supporting the cause he held closest to his heart.

All donations will go directly to Cwmavon Hornets to help keep the club thriving — funding equipment, kit, shows and opportunities for the next wave of young fighters. It’s a way to honour his life, his values, and the community he built with love and grit.
