Story
My grand daughter Niamh has been selected to represent Scotland at the WKF Junior World Championships in Tenerife in October.
Karate receives no funding for the athletes so all the costs of training, equipment, competition entry and international travel needs to be funded by parents.
Niamh has travelled internationally to Austria, Denmark, Poland, Bulgaria and Germany to compete at international level with her club to gain the experience needed to compete for her country.
Karate has been recognised as an Olympic sport for Tokyo 2020 and Niamh's ultimate goal is to get to the Olympics in 2024!
All her travel and costs have to be met by her parents as well as huge time commitments getting her to and from training and tournaments.
I would be so grateful for any contribution towards the costs of the trip (estimated to in excess of £1,500)
