Story

At the beggining of lockdown 2020 Karl was like the rest of the UK watching the news and entering lockdown with Full health, job and little worries, apart from the usual mundane life issues. Karl’s life changed forever when he suffered a brain Haemorrhage and took a heavy blow to the head. Karl had life saving treatment by paramedics on scene and underwent an operation to save his life in hospital. After months spent in hospital, and being in a coma for 8 weeks karl was sent home, and until recently only had his mum to help with ever increasing siezures and constat assistance. Karl has weakness in his right side, memory loss, siezures and speech problems, meaning his life is now very different to what he once had. I have known Karl for 30 years and went to primary school, high school, worked with him and remained friends ever since. I spoke to Karl and his mum and decided i could not let Karl just rot and i wanted to help his life get that bit easier. I will be running 101 miles in 24 hours, from Carlisle to Leigh on 12th June to help raise as much money for Karl as humanly possible. Whilst i am running there will be a concert for Karl and a fun day organised by some of Karl’s friends to bring Karl’s love of music to Leigh, whilst im taking on this gruelling task. There will be fb live posts to help

track me and see my proggress. please help my pal with as little or as much as you can spare to help a guy that means so much more than a number. He is family, our friend and a top guy.

thanks Jay.
