Rita, my fabulous friend, and I are swimming 33 miles EACH to raise money for the Sunflower Suite at Queen's Hospital, Romford.

My little Robyn has also decided to join us and will be swimming a total of 3 miles. One for each chemotherapy cycle my dad had.

As many of you know, my lovely dad was diagnosed with lung cancer in January 2019. Since then, he has been undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy in the Sunflower Suite and Oncology department in Queen's Hospital.

I have promised my dad that I will swim 33 miles - one for every radiotherapy session he had (and do it over the same of period of time his radiotherapy treatment took-47 days). This is to raise money for the Sunflower Suite that has provided his treatment, and who have been amazing. And my fabulous friend, Rita, is going to do it with me!

So that's 47 days to do 66 one mile swims - 33 miles each, plus Robyn's 3!!! My dad said that as he got weekends off from his treatment (apparently for good behavior🤣😂🤣) then so should we.

We started on the day his radiotherapy finished 12.04.19. And will complete our swims by (or before) 28.05.19.
