In June staff from Newark Orchard school will be attempting the Lyke Wake Walk, a 40 mile crossing of the Yorkshire Moors! The aim is to complete the challenge in under 24hrs. The staff will begin their walk on a Friday evening, continuing throughout the night and into Saturday! The purpose of the walk is to raise funds to improve the outdoor learning facilities at our fantastic new school build by building an outdoor classroom space suitable to use all year round

Learning outdoors has been proven time and time again to be such a useful tool for schools. Providing a year round place to learn in our lovely new grounds would be a brilliant addition for our students and teachers.
