Story
It is now one year to the day since my mum lost her fight against lung cancer. From the day she was diagnosed, she received amazing care from both Ninewells Hospital and latterly Roxburghe House in Dundee.
Our family were fortunate enough to have the time, means and ability to be able to travel to Dundee regularly for appointments, visits and, most importantly, to be at her bedside for her final moments.
However, not everyone is fortunate enough to be in this position which is why it is important for these palliative care facilities to be available in Arbroath. The League of Friends have made great strides in this area and the Infirmary is able to offer these facilities.
On October 1st, I will be running the Great Scottish Run in Glasgow to raise funds for the League of Friends so that they can continue their great work.
