Story
We have set up this page to raise money for the most wonderful little boy who has sadly been diagnosed with an extremely rare and aggressive form of cancer. We want to not only help J-Jay but his family in this scary time.
A few short weeks ago, J-Jay began to voice discomfort in his leg to which a short visit to the doctor was put down to ‘growing pains’. Leading a fun filled life running about and playing with his school friends, It was impossible to imagine just how wrong the ‘growing pains’ could be.
J-Jay’s symptoms steadily got worse and he began to experience a ‘tingly foot’ - pins and needles in his leg and foot.
One night, J-Jay awoke and began crying in agony, he was rushed to hospital by his mummy where multiple tests were ran. The results revealed the worst possible news. A mass, 11cm by 8cm - roughly the size of a mango - was growing in his pelvis, eating away at his hip bone and reaching ever closer towards the base of his spine. Following these results, J-Jay was quickly referred to a specialist hospital.
During the short time he has been at the hospital, he has already been fitted with Mr Wriggles (His Hickman Line) and a biopsy has been taken to establish exactly what type of cancer he is so bravely fighting.
A long and difficult journey awaits J-Jay and due to how aggressive cancer is, He has already undergone the first (of many) courses of intensive chemotherapy.
Whilst we do not know exactly what type of cancer he is fighting, we do know that his journey will include many sessions of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and in the future, surgery to rebuild the bones ravaged by the tumour.
Less than 4 weeks ago this brave boy was laughing, running and playing as any young child would, but is now wheelchair bound for his long battle ahead. A major shock to us all, but even more for J-Jay who cannot understand why “Mr Blobby” (J-Jay’s name for the bad lump) is causing him so much pain and problems.
So please, join the battle alongside Mr Wriggles (the Hickman Line) in the fight against the cruel and horrible Mr Blobby for J-Jay, his mummy and siblings. Help us make precious memories; support with the journeys back and forth for treatment sessions and to reduce the financial stress for this young family in their time of need.
