Across Israel, Palestine and Jordan many people are suffering. The conflicts across the Middle East bring misery to those affected by them, and those who live close by. The Church has its cross to bear, as do the communities who live there. They should not face this alone.

For the elderly they are often particularly vulnerable, if children have been forced to emigrate, the network of social support is limited, and often lacking.

I walked toward the top of the world- to raise money to support both the Church and a project for the elderly women of Bethlehem.

We climbed to 5, 350m at Gokyo Ri and 5, 420m at the Cho La Pass (17, 782 ft). Would you sponsor 1 penny for every metre and help those who can not always help themselves?
