Story
First of all, just to say a BIG PERSONAL THANK YOU to all of you who have shown genuine care and interest in this vital fundraising. You have already taken the first step in offering support by visiting this page for heart-felt giving! ♥
As most of you will know, my name is Cheryl ('Chezzy') Harvey, I am originally from a small village in the Essex countryside of England, I have been living in Peru and Guatemala for the last 9 years and, for the last year, I have been working on the development of my very own conscious business; Seeds of Ayllu Limited. In addition to my business activities and ongoing work to share the natural foods produced by small, native farming communities in Peru and Guatemala, I am truly dedicated to GIVING BACK and making a mindful difference to the wellbeing of our people and our planet 👫🌎👬.
Whilst our world may be at a standstill and my business (like sooo many!) is unable to generate income and profits for it's intended giving purposes, I REFUSE TO LET THIS STOP ME! TO STOP US! I will find a way to give to those in desperate need. I will find a way to make a conscious difference through the contribution of my time and energy, and with YOUR VALUABLE HELP, the giving of donations to our fellow earthlings right now living in extremely worrying circumstances.
HOW WILL YOUR DONATION BE USED?
The indigenous communities DESPERATELY NEED OUR HELP! It is a difficult time for our global community, for many of us, but more so for indigenous families who are without income or savings and who typically live from day-to-day earnings. Work has halted and social inequalities are leaving the weakest unprotected, making them far more vulnerable. Among these minority groups are the indigenous communities within which I have lived and continue to work, located in two places very close to my heart:
GUATEMALA - SAN MARCOS LA LAGUNA, LAKE ATITLAN 💧
I reach out to you from the small Mayan village of San Marcos la Laguna, Guatemala, where I am working in close collaboration with the local community of both native and foreign residents. Here in the mountain sides live a great number of impoverished families who are without food and very basic needs at this time. Furthermore, no help is being provided from official sources, therefore it is up to us the people to care for their wellbeing. Fundraising efforts have already begun, but it is simply not enough. We need to continue the weekly supply of staple foods to as many local families as possible, starting with the sick, elderly, single and pregnant mothers, and those without employment. As more funds are raised, we can increase the outreach.
PERU - AMAZON REGION OF MADRE DE DIOS ('MOTHER OF GOD') 🌴
Peru was my home for 8 years and the Amazon Region of Madre de Dios is a place that has changed my life in so many ways; personally, professionally and spiritually. It is here that my business was born and here that I am dedicated to giving back. I am collaborating with my native business partner; Nazareth Mayta Chirinos, who is local to this amazon region, is on-the-ground to provide support and working with me to personally purchase and deliver food aid to those indigenous families in reach and who are disastrously at risk. We will be giving nutritious food parcels and hygiene items, and this support will continue so long as funds last.
This recent article by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) provides some further insight as to the support needed by Peru's indigenous people at this time.
I WILL USE YOUR KIND DONATIONS AND SPLIT THEM 50:50 TO SUPPORT BOTH OF THESE COMMUNITIES AND REACH AS MANY INDIGENOUS FAMILIES AS POSSIBLE!!!
HOW MUCH SHOULD YOU DONATE?
You decide! ALL donations are valuable and will be greatly appreciated. This is a time for those of us who have that little bit more to give to those who have that little bit (or a lot) less!
✦ GIVE A LITTLE ✦ GIVE A LOT ✦ GIVE WHAT YOU CAN ✦ GIVE WITH GREAT INTENTIONS AND A FULL HEART ✦
Just £1 / €1 / $1 can stretch so much further in these parts of the world. A little really does go a long way!
WHY THE USE OF JUSTGIVING?
The answer is very simple. I believe in TRANSPARENCY. In the same way that everyone is able to see the exact amount of money that has been raised for these worthy causes, I will also be completely transparent as to the final destination of these funds at the time they are distributed.
WHEN SHOULD YOU MAKE A DONATION?
HELP IS NEEDED NOW!!! The sooner that I can raise funds, the sooner that I can begin to spread our help and support.
TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
Those of you who know me well, will know just how much this fundraising means to me. To give back to these places and their people that have given me so much, where I have found home and received so many blessings along my journey! For you to find compassion and be kind enough to support me and help me on this mission, it just means the world! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOUUUUU!!!
With much love and so much gratitude, from Chezzy ♥

4 years agoMeet my dear friend & business partner; Nazareth Mayta Chirinos. Always by my side & offering her full support in our projects of consciousness. Naza is native to the jungle capital of Puerto Maldonado in the region of Madre de Dios - Peru, is well respected for her work within the Amazon Rainsforest and Brazil Nut harvesting. Naza is playing a key role in our fundraising campaign, leading the organisation and distribution of food aid to unprotected indigenous families who have been devastatingly affected by the pandemic. Thank you Naza ♥

4 years agoI never anticipated that this fundraising campaign would bring so much into my life and into the lives of so many of you!!! This has been an opportunity to connect with so many of my contacts from all different phases of my life, to open up a space for sharing, to truly understand what each of us are living in this moment and how we can support one another. This has been, and continues to be, a truly beautiful experience for me! Thank you all! ❤️

4 years ago"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much!" 🤝 I would like to share this short video showing the beautiful acts of kindness that are being displayed in this small Mayan village that I call home ❤️. Community is like a big family & that is what we have here in San Marcos La Laguna, Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. I feel blessed to be included & able to make a conscious contribution. Coming together to help the impoverished natives of this land during this time of crisis, giving food aid & all thanks to your kind donations! THANK YOU!!! 🙏
