Story
In 2016, two of my friends were diagnosed with breast cancer. Fortunately they're recovering well, thanks to the early diagnosis. I wanted to do something to help them and other women who've been affected by breast cancer. It's clear to say that I am no athlete and to be perfectly honest I hate running! So as a personal challenge, I'm running 13 miles in the Great North Run on behalf of the Women's Cancer Detection Society. As is typical of me, I have left the training too little too late but I'm determined to shuffle my way across that finish line. I know it'll be a struggle and it will hurt but this is my contribution to improve and help the breast cancer detection services. Please help me as this is such a worthy cause and all help will be greatly appreciated! All sponsorship money / donations will be going to the Women's Cancer Detection Society Gateshead.
