Story
As part of the 20/20 Changing 20 lives in 20 days (Gav and Shaun, 2 RGK wheelchairs, will push from Lands End to John O'Groats in twenty days not only making a difference to individual or groups of people's lives as they go but also setting a Guinness World Record for the fastest wheelchair push), I will join them on the 18th and 19th August to walk some of the way with them (probably 10-12 miles each day) and I hope to raise some money for Palmersdene Care Home.
Palmersdene is a Dementia Care Home in Jarrow where my mam lives, as she has Dementia, and I am raising money for their Social Fund. The home is owned by Anchor which is a not for profit organisation. The staff are friendly and well trained, providing 24 hour care to support people to maintain their chosen lifestyle, adapting care as people's needs change. The social fund helps to fund the activities in the home which play an important role in the week to week living at the home.
If you wish to sponsor my small part in this challenge I would be very grateful and it will make a difference. Don't worry about the size of the contribution, everything helps.
