In May this year a truly special person to many people was tragically taken away from us.

Hazel (my lil sis, a fantastic mother, wife, daughter and friend), worked relentlessly to support and encourage young people to fulfil their adventure dreams. Making the impossible seem possible.

All Hazels family and friends want to continue her legacy and give back a little of what she gave the community. In a way that Hazel would be proud of by providing support and guidance along with a healthy dose fun. Encouraging and developing the enjoyment of the outdoors into the life's of young people, and providing them with the opportunity to have a trip of a life time.

Hazel was heavily involved with the church, scouts and duke of Edinburgh. This was her passion and her own life choices allowed her to experience many years in the outdoors industry. Hazel achieved her Gold DofE, and pursued her passion for this further by mentoring young people (14-25) through the process, the award allows skills to develop, aids in community spirit and volunteering, wilderness and survival skills and the opportunity to expeirence new cultures.

My effort in the marathon aims to provide not only a personal challenge but an opportunity to help others.
