Story

Nate is a 4 year old boy who is partaking in the Mini Great South Run 2017 to raise money for Ivy. The Mini Great South Run is in Southsea on Saturday 21st October. Nate will be running the 1.5km course with his uncle Dan.

Nate's cousin is 16 month old Ivy Audsley who has a rare neurological disease causing her seizures. In December 2016 Ivy was diagosed with hemimegalencephaly, a condition in which one half of her brain is abnormally larger than the other. The seizures can not be control by epilespy drugs and are increasing in regularity and severely limits her ability to learn.

Her brain damage is so severe she is having to undergo surgery at Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital to remove the left side of her brain. The operation will leave her paralysed down one side of her body. How she will be after surgery is unknown, therefore Nate would like to raise as much money as possible to give directly to Ivy's parents Claire and Chris to help fund her hospital visits, rehabilitation, physiotherapist and speech therapy.
