Story
We are a group of midwives who trained with Kat nearly ten years ago at the University of Northampton.

We were a close group and supported each other through three gruelling years to qualify as midwives in February 2008.
A few years after qualifying Kat took her midwifery skills and sunshine personality to New Zealand where she settled and made a life with her partner Jean Marc.

Joyfully they welcomed their son Eoin just over a year ago.

Kat is currently pregnant with their second child and devastatingly has been recently diagnosed with advanced metastatic breast cancer. She is beginning chemotherapy treatment and will have a unilateral mastectomy prior to the early delivery of her baby.
We are raising money to help financially support this beautiful family in crisis. All monies donated will be transferred to Kat in New Zealand to help with living costs as she will be unable to work and it will be very difficult for Jean Marc to as he will need to care for Kat, Eoin and a newborn baby.
It is critical that Kat and Jean Marc are able to focus on her fight against cancer and to not have to worry about money. They simply need to be together as a family. We are aiming to raise £12000 as our old University in Northampton is approximately 12000 miles from Auckland where Kat now lives.
To do this we will be taking part in a range of fundraising activities some of which will be in honour of Kat's zest for life and fearless energy (she wouldn't think twice about jumping out of a plane!) and others will be more in keeping with our midwife roots and are likely to involve cake!
As a midwife Kat has dedicated herself to supporting others in the best moments of their lives; please help us to support Kat in the worst moments of hers.
Thank you
