Hi all,

I am heading back to Kenya with my local church Jesus House London and will be working in collaboration with a charity called Action in Focus to go on a mission trip to Kenya, Masaai Mara.  I will go to work with small destitute communities, mainly women and children to deliver free medical care to the local population.

I visited the orphanage in my cover photo in 2016 and a little piece of my heart was left behind that I feel I need to go back and take care of it. The Healthcare system in Kenya is still developing and in certain areas resources are minimal or not available. In areas where it is available it comes at a cost that the local people cannot afford. The key health challenges in the area for the underprivileged are Hypertension, Diabetes, High Cholesterol, and Lack of Health Screening for Pregnant Women, lack of formal Cervical and Breast Screening.

How can you help me?

It has always been a desire of mine to volunteer for charity work that will make a difference in people’s lives, particularly those less fortunate as I am so blessed to not have to even imagine what a life like that could be like. The trip is self-sponsored and is on 23rd February - 4th March 2018, I am asking all of my colleagues, friends and family to sponsor me to help me reach my target amount is £1,200.00.

Your sponsoring will help cover the cost of my ticket and accommodation, but if we are able to raise more I hope to take food and clothing that will help contribute towards those expenses. . No amount is too small, and although many of us wish we could do something like this but may not be able to, I hope that you can be a part of this through your giving and changing someone’s life forever through love.
