Story
During the evening of the 27th July 2019, mindless idiots with nothing better to do with their lives, broke in to the Killinghall Community Park building and set fire to the equipment belonging to Killinghall Nomads Junior Footbal Club. the kids who play for the club rely on these items as do the club itself.
The timing couldn’t be any worse as we are about to host a training camp over the course of a few days. Without this vital equipment the club simply cannot provide this camp. Kids are looking forward to attending as it is hosted in association with Leeds United Football Club.
Killinghall Nomads is a registered charity and relies on things like this for the community, for parents to give something back, not just to their own kids, but other peoples kids. Football is not just a hobby its a passion for many a parent & child alike.
Unfortunately, the building is being broken in to on a regular occasion, they are stealing the refreshments and other items belonging to the club.
What we would like to do:
Install CCTV, upgrade the alarm, replace all the equipment that’s been damaged and generally make the building safer in terms of unauthorised entry & possibly make the storage rooms more secure.
As a charity we truly hope that we can rebuild what was damaged and make the building more secure so it doesn’t happen again.
From all the training staff, but more importantly from the kids, we thank you for the donations.
