Story
From 30th January to 6th February 2021 Kingsley Napley are celebrating National Storytelling Week by holding a book drive to raise funds to provide more representative and inclusive children’s books for local primary schools.
Please support us by donating the cost of a book (or two!) so that more children can be inspired by these wonderful stories. Our team will be donating the books to various local primary schools to encourage children to learn about inclusion and diversity.
Diversity and inclusion is engrained in our firm's culture and how we live our values at Kingsley Napley. We recognise that valuing each other’s individuality and difference brings strength to the teams we work in, our departments and the firm as a whole.
Our Diversity & Inclusion group is integral to progressing the firm’s D&I related initiatives. To further our commitment, our Diversity and Inclusion group has launched a children’s book drive dedicated to increasing diverse books in schools to kick off on National Storytelling Week.
We believe it's important for all children to see themselves and their friends in the stories they are reading and be able to relate to the characters. We strive to help encourage a world in which all children can see themselves in the pages of a book. Stories can also help children understand and develop empathy for people with different lives and experiences.
There are so many fantastic diverse books available for all ages that we can't list them all, but we've collected a few of them here for you. To find out more about inclusive books that celebrate diversity and inclusion and where you can purchase these books for your own children please follow the link below.

You can find lots more books at a range of inclusive booksellers so please check out and support your local bookshops. We are grateful for the help of @BooksRound in compiling our list https://www.roundtablebooks.co.uk/
