Story

Edit: Kosgei completed the marathon in an incredible 2:30:22. Thank you so much for the amazing donations so far. To celebrate his achievement, we are pushing on with the fundraising to help ensure the twin science laboratory can be built to a high standard (with a durable roof etc) and meet all the needs of the pupils.

It is Isaiah Kosgei's birthday on 27th November and, in true fashion, he is embarking on a challenge to help kids in local community...

Rather than settle down for a slice of cake, Kosgei is going to lace up and run a solo marathon. The aim - to raise enough funds to build a new twin science laboratory at St Paul's Makongi High School. The school, with a student population of 624, is seriously in need of this space to effectively deliver a wide range of provision.

The school is where Kosgei, after his running career, went back to school and got his qualifications. A journey that has gone on to see him put so much back into the local community and provide so many children with an education they wouldn't have otherwise got..

The route will take Kosgei from the centre of Eldoret to the gates of the school. Where hopefully they can celebrate the start of the project!
