Story

A small team of volunteers will be walking approximately 65miles over the course of two days to raise funds for Kick Start FC.

Created with the purpose of 'Tackling The Mind', Kick Start FC are using the power of football to offer support to men and women who experience episodes of poor mental health and lack social inclusion.

We will be walking 65miles around London whilst using 14 football grounds in the Premier League & EFL as our checkpoints.

DAY ONE:

. AFC Wimbledon, Sutton United, Crystal Palace, Millwall, Charlton Athletic and ending the day at West Ham United.

DAY TWO:

. Leyton Orient, Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Chelsea, Fulham, QPR, Brentford and ending the day at Wembley Stadium.

The money raised will go towards various projects ran by Kick Start FC and provide people with support with their mental health. The money raised will also help raise awareness and offer education by allowing us to put people through the MHFA Mental Health First Aid Course.

1 in 4 people here in the UK experience poor mental health every year with an average of 5,500 suicides registered on an annual basis. To put that in perspective, there were only 1,390 road traffic accident deaths recorded in 2021. Since the start of global pandemic, the waiting times for mental health services have significantly increased and more and more people are struggling to cope with their mental health due the lasting effects of depression and anxiety.

Please donate today and help us to help people cope with the daily pressures and provide them with the tools to manage their mental health.
