Story
Leigh and Bec have given up a lot of their financial stability to serve their community in Whitby. (Leigh's wage over halved going into ministry)
They have now found themselves in a house that is too small for their family and they do not have the space to host and serve the people that they are loving in their community.
Such a low wage means they can not get a loan or a new mortgage to move.
Their daughters don't have the room to chill out whilst they are working and this is now becoming an issue.
We have looked down the route of a manse, with no success and now this is the only real option. There is no space to work either. This is also an issue in a small house. They are finding themselves working on the bed, floor or the kitchen table.
How do we solve this?
To extend their own house (create a missional hub)
Build an office (in the garage)
We want to keep Hope Whitby growing!
This means loving people and showing good hospitality.
Hope Whitby is showing people the Christian faith through discipleship and mission and does not have a central point like most churches, current Hope Whitby has 20 Missional Communities and we don't own any buildings. (or want too) This gives a room for growth into new territories and not being constrained by buildings.
