We've managed to raise £1210 before previous page expired. Let me tell you a little about myself and my condition. 2 years ago I was diagnosed with relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis and having been researching the revolutionary treatment of hsct its still in clinical trials in the UK, so I'm looking further afield as they strongly advise getting the treatment within the first 10 years. My condition as its stands is that there is a high chance that I will end up in a wheelchair and am currently using a 3 wheeled walker. My condition has affected my life in virtually every way, for instance I changed my career from support work helping people with mental health issues and special needs, to now working a desk job for a bank. Its affected my energy levels that I get exhausted easily. I'm currently using hyperbaric chambers to try and help improve symptoms. The treatment itself involves taking stem cells from my body and then chemotherapy to remove my immune system and then they reintroduce the stem cell transplant to reset my immune system to a time before MS. The treatment could possibly affect my fertility and I will most likely lose my hair during the chemotherapy involved and unfortunately theres around a 1% fatality risk for this treatment. All of that said, I'm still keen to get this treatment as it would be life changing for me and I really hope you can help me raise funds for this treatment.
