    Story

    What Happened

Around Midnight on Friday 4th of September Matt had a boat fire as a result of a gas leak.

This recently became his primary residence and being a relatively new endeavor (pre-Covid) was not yet insured. His whole life was on this boat and he is now pretty screwed.

In addition he has pre-existing serious lung issues which may have been made worse from this - but judging from the severity of the flames; he is lucky to be alive.

    Who is Matt?

Matthew Baldock is part of the crypto scene in the UK (Portsmouth) since 2013.

He has contributed in various ways over the years including consultations, talks and workshops at events as well as holding local meet-ups to try and spread the gospel of Bitcoin.

This last few years have given him a lot of trials and tribulations; including health conditions. But he managed to dust himself off and get back up and try again.

He is a very positive person and would always try and help his friends; which is why I have set up this page so we; his friends; can try and help him during his time of need too.

    What Is This Page For?

I have set up this page (with his permission) for us; his friends; to pull together and see if we can raise a few pennies to help him get back on his feet.

This is a terrible circumstance for him to be put into. And if I was in his shoes I would like to think my friends would try their best to help me.

So please if you can afford to contribute anything at all, it would be much appreciated.

    Where Does the Money Go?

For your own piece of mind know that any monies you donate will go straight to Matt. I am setting up the page only and have no access to the funds.

The only deductions will be as per justgiving.com's terms which I have added in the image below.

    Why a Target of £1500?

The target value will cover the cost to remove and dispose of the old boat and if enough is left it will over go towards a new one.

    Other Ways to Help

If you cant afford to make a donation yourself, if you can please share a link to this page that too would be a great help.

Want to Donate Bitcoin or Crypto?
