Story
This beautiful book is described by the Guardian as being "aimed at reviving once-common “natural” words excised from the Oxford Junior Dictionary". There are campaigns all over Britain to get copies into schools. Children could just enjoy the book as it is, or if teachers feel inspired they can access some lesson ideas produced by the John Muir trust.
Can we get a copy into every primary school in Bradford?
Any donation would help. Or if you'd rather buy a whole book and donate it to a school of your choice, then get in touch on the Facebook page 'the Lost Words for Bradford Schools'.

6 years agoWe’ve done it!!! 2 direct donations added to the donations here, and to actual books donated menat that every child in a Bradford primary school will have access to a copy of The Lost Words. Thank you.

6 years agoThe total needed has been readjusted to take into account a direct donation by Get Out More, who will be buying and distributing an amazing 46 books to schools in and near Keighley. Thank you to all donors so far. We’re really not that far off now.

6 years agoThank you for the donations so far. I have changed the target, but because we are also taking donations of books it's a slightly movable feast! If we pass the target and get a book in every primary school and there is an excess, then we will give to libraries, secondary schools, care homes...
