Whilst on a volunteering placement in Ghana with International Service, I stayed with a incredibly kind and inspiring woman called Ann Irene, who works as a headmistress at a local primary school in Navrongo, the Joseph Adabayeri Memorial School. Many of the children attending this school are orphans, who don't have anyone to buy them school uniforms or materials such as textbooks, pens and pencils. My aim is to raise £300 for the children to provide these basic things that many of us take for granted. I trust this amount will go a long way, as I will be sending all donations directly to Ann Irene herself to effectively distribute.
