Story
Luke learnt last week that Hamerton zoo are really struggling to care for their animals during lockdown. The small zoo which covers 20 acres of parkland is reliant on admission fees to cover their £4000 a day costs in feeding and caring for the animals. He was saddened by this and wanted to help. He came up with the idea of ‘100k in May’ running 100km around the garden over the course of the 31 days of May. We tried to convince him to adopt a more realistic target but he‘s adamant he wants to do this.
He hopes to raise awareness of the hardships the zoo is facing and for people to donate any pennies they can.
